Omix Visualization is a privately held company with headquarters in
Lennestadt in the middle-western Germany.
The company was founded in May 2013 by Dr. Peter Droste.

The origin of Omix Visualization is information visualization in life sciences and here particularly in systems biology. Information visualization is important in analyzing and understanding the plenty of experimental and simulated data concerning biochemical systems. We offer our know-how in network-based information visualization to academic scientific institutes and commercial research departments.
Visualization Solutions for Systems Biology
In the context of life sciences it is still predominating that experimental
data is presented by isolated bar charts, scatter plots, histograms or
function graphs of all state variables of the biological
system even in case of time series of experimental data.
This solution is not satisfying because the network context is completely lost.
It hampers the ability to grasp the visualized data in a system-oriented manner.
We improve this situation by providing our user-friendly and highly customizable
product Omix®, a visualization and modeling tool for biochemical networks.

Beside our visualization application Omix, we offer following services:
- Workshops and in-house training courses in information visualization for systems biology.

Development of special-tailored solutions for
individual customers, particularly:
- visualization of multi-omics data
- convenient user interfaces for network-based modeling approaches
- embedding scientific algorithmic solutions in webservices
- platform independent realization
- In cooperation with our partner institute IBG-1: Biotechnology, Forschungszentrum Jülich we provide world expert skills in carbon isotope based metabolic flux analysis.
Smooth User Interface Development
As a software development company we have twenty years of experience
in creating smooth user interfaces for complex application fields.
Omix Visualization publishes the open source project QtJambi which makes the entire
user interface framework Qt available in Java and Kotlin.
Along with QtJambi, we offer following services:
- Workshops and in-house training courses about working with QtJambi.
- Consulting in matters of software developement with Qt and QtJambi.
- Troubleshooting in Qt-based software projects.
- Custom solutions in combination with QtJambi.
