Collection and Storage of Data

When accessing our website, you initialize a connection to our server causing our system to automatically save page access paths, access time and your current IP address. While visiting our website, data ("cookies") may be stored on your computer system which facilitate the use of our website services. We will neither use the data to identify you personally nor to contact you in any way.

Personal Data

Personal data is only collected and stored in accordance with statutory regulations of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) as well as the Tele Media Act (TMG). We save and use your personal data (name, address, email address, bank data etc.) for the purpose of order processing, management of licensed software products, updates, bug fixes (if necessary), as well as for our newsletter and to provide you with product information.

During software activation following data is sent to the license server of Omix Visualization GmbH & Co. KG: username, password, software version, language code and a hash of the hardware signature of your target computer system.

Before new updates and plug-ins are provided to you, the license server proves system compatibility and your license entitlement by means of following data: username, password, license ID, licensed edition, software version, operation system, processor architecture and language code of your target computer system.

We shall neither pass on any data to nor shall we share it with third parties except service partners who require your personal data e.g. for parcel and mail delivery services, printing services and banks (for the collection of direct debits).

Beyond this, we only use your personal data exclusively for the billing purposes and of asserting and enforcing possible claims against you. Your data will only be passed on to third parties if and insofar as we are legally obliged to do so or if disclosure is necessary to assert and enforce our rights and claims against you.

Information

You are entitled to obtain information about your personal data stored in our systems and the purposes of its processing at any time and free of charge. You are allowed to insist on the correction, blocking or erasure of your personal data. Provided that the law, including commercial or tax law, or any other statutory or contractual provisions prevent such deletion, as e.g. obligatory retention periods, your data will not be deleted but blocked.
